In this blog, I will show you how to use Code Breaker on PCSX2 step by step tutorial with video and screenshots.
What is Code Breaker ?
Code Breaker is a cheat device developed by Pelican Accessories, at this time its only available for PS1, PS2, Dreamcast, GBA, and NDS console/systems. Along with competing product Action Replay cheat device, it is one of the few available and supported video game cheat devices.
How To Use Code Breaker on PCSX2 Step By Step Tutorial With 23 Screenshots:
Step 1 – Download CodeBreaker.rar file and extract using WinRAR or any RAR file extracting software to get Code Breaker.iso file.
Click Here To Download ⇒ Code Breaker.iso
Step 2 – Open extracted folder and check CodeBreaker.iso file successfully extracted or not.
Don’t forget “Code Breaker.iso” file location or you can “Copy” file location from address bar of “Code Breaker.iso”.
Step 3 – Close all Windows tab.
Now we don’t need to do anything in this Windows tab and folder, so close it all.
Step 4 – Open PCSX2 (PS2 Emulator).
Always use latest version of PCSX2 emulator, double click on PCSX2 icon or Right click through mouse and click on “Open” option.
Step 5 – Go to CDVD→ISO Selector and click on Browse… option.
Now you need to click on “Browse…” option and open “Code Breaker.iso” file location.
Step 6 – Open Code Breaker.iso file location and select Code Breaker.iso and then click on Open button.
After clicking on “Open” button your Code Breaker.iso file will be inserted in PCSX2 emulator.
Step 7 – Go to System and click on Boot ISO (fast).
Boot ISO (fast) is the fastest way to emulate any PS2 ISO file in PCSX2.
Step 8 – Double click on PCSX2 screen to make PCSX2 full screen.
Double click on PCSX2 screen through mouse to make PCSX2 full screen and small screen.

- Press X (Cross) to turn all cheats ON/OFF.
- Press △ (Triangle) to delete game.
- Press O (Circle) to add a new game.
- Press □ (Square) to edit game name.
- Press → RIGHT on the D-PAD to select cheats.
- Press ▶ START to go back to main menu.

- Press △ (Triangle) to delete code.
- Press O (Circle) to add a new code.
- Press □ (Square) to edit code.
- Press ← LEFT on the D-PAD to go back to cheats screen.
- Press ▶ START after selecting cheats to start game.
Code Breaker Code Entry screen Gamepad Controls ?
- Press △ (Triangle) to delete code.
- Press O (Circle) to add a new code.
- Press □ (Square) to edit code.
- Press ← LEFT on the D-PAD to go back to cheats screen.
- Press ▶ START after selecting cheats to start game.
Step 9 – Press X (Cross) button to save PCSX2 Code Breaker configuration and if you don’t want to save Press △ (Triangle) button on your gamepad.
When you start the “Code Breaker” you will see this option.
Configuration has changed or been updated
Do you want to save configuration ?
Press X (Yes) Press △ (No)
It’s completely your choice to save configuration or not.
I’m going to press △ (Triangle) button, I don’t want to save this configuration at this time.
Step 10 – Go to Select Cheats option and press X (Cross) button on your gamepad to open PS2 Games Cheats list.
When you Open “Select Cheats” screen you will see lots of PS2 Games List.
Step 11 – Here you can see lots of PS2 Games List.
In this Games list you can find your PS2 game which you want to cheat.
Step 12 – In this tutorial, I’m going to select “WWE SmackDown! Here Comes The Pain” PS2 Game.
Choose you game and press → RIGHT button to Game Cheats List.
Step 13 – Choose any Game Cheat or also you can choose multiple Game Cheats at same, Press X (Cross) button and then press ▶ Start button on your gamepad.
For this tutorial, I’m going to select “Invisible Cage” cheat for WWE SmackDown! Here Comes The Pain (Game).
Step 14 – Go to Start Game option and Press X (Cross) button.
Note: Do not press X (Cross) button twice on “Start Game” option, it will reboot the Code Breaker Cheat Device.
Step 15 – Now you need to insert PS2 ISO game file.
I selected “WWE SmackDown! Here Comes The Pain” Game Cheats, so I need to insert “WWE SmackDown! Here The Pain PS2 ISO” game file on PCSX2 emulator.
Step 16 – Double click on PCSX2 screen to make PCSX2 screen size small.
Double click on PCSX2 screen through mouse to make PCSX2 full screen and small screen.
Step 17 – And again go to CDVD→ISO Selector and Browse… PS2 ISO Game file.
Now you need to “Browse…” and insert your “PS2 ISO” Game file.
Step 18 – Select PS2 ISO game file and click on Open button.
I selected “WWE SmackDown! Here Comes The Pain” Game Cheats on Code Breaker, So I need to insert “WWE SmackDown! Here Comes The Pain.iso” game file.
Step 19 – Click on Swap Disc option.
You need to Confirm ISO image change by clicking on “Swap Disc” option.
Do you want to swap discs or boot the new image (via system reset)?
Swap Disc✓ Reset Cancel
Step 20 – Again double click on PCSX2 screen to make PCSX2 screen full size.
Double click on PCSX2 screen through mouse to make PCSX2 full screen and small screen.
Step 21 – Press X (Cross) button on your gamepad to continue and the PS2 game.
Press “X” (Cross) button to boot and emulate PS2 ISO Game.
Step 22 – Starting Game…,You need to wait few seconds.
Now automatically game will started to run on your PCSX2 emulator and check it your Code Breaker Cheat successfully activated or not.
Step 23 – Code Breaker Cheats Successfully working, enjoy.
My selected Code Breaker Cheats “Invisible Cage” for “WWE SmackDown! Here Comes The Pain game” is successfully activated and working.
How To Add New Cheat Codes on Code Breaker Step By Step Tutorial With 20 Screenshots:
Step 1 – Open Code Breaker on PCSX2.
Boot ISO (fast) “Code Breaker.iso” on PCSX2 emulator.
Step 2 – Go to Select Cheats option and Press X (Cross) button.
Open Games Cheats List from “Select Cheats” option.
Step 3 – Select Any Game or You can Create New Game Folder on Code Breaker.
In this tutorial, I’m going to “Add New Cheats” for “WWE SmackDown! Here Comes The Pain” game.
Step 4 – Press O (Circle) button to Add New Game Cheat Codes.
Here you can see lots of Cheats and also you can “Add your New Cheat Codes” too.
Step 5 – Add name of your New Game Cheat.
You can give any name you want for your NEW CHEAT.
I’m going to give “1275 Original Attribute” name for my new cheat.
Step 6 – Open Created Game Cheat folder.
Open your New Created Cheat folder.
Step 7 – You need to add your Cheat Codes here.
Enter your all cheat codes here.
Step 8 – Press O (Circle) to add your New Cheat Codes and Enter your codes.
Add your NEW CODE and Press ▶ Start to Confirm.
Step 9 – After Code Entries completed, Go back.
Check all your code entries and again press ▶ Start button on you gamepad to confirm.
Step 10 – Select your Created Cheat and press Start button on your gamepad.
Step 11 – Press X (Cross) button to save your created Game Cheat or if you don’t to save press △ (Triangle) button on your gamepad.
I recommend you to save this changes have been made and you can use these cheat codes again in future.
Step 12 – Please wait few seconds.
Do not press anything while Preparing file. Your New Cheat Codes will be saved in PCSX2 Memory Card.
Step 13 – Go to Start Game option and Press X (Cross) button.
Note: Do not press X (Cross) button twice on “Start Game” option, it will reboot the Code Breaker cheat device.
Step 14 – Now you need to insert PS2 ISO game file.
Minimize the PCSX2 Screen so you can easily Swap PS2 ISO Disc.
Step 15 – Double click on PCSX2 screen to make PCSX2 screen size small.
Double click on PCSX2 screen through mouse to make PCSX2 full screen and small screen.
Step 16 – Go to CDVD→ISO Selector and Browse… or select PS2 ISO game file.
I created Cheats for “WWE SmackDown! Here Comes The Pain” game, so I need to insert “WWE SmackDown! Here The Pain PS2 ISO” game file on PCSX2 emulator.
Step 17 – Click on Swap Disc option.
You need to Confirm ISO image change by clicking on “Swap Disc” option.

Step 18 – Double click on PCSX2 screen to make PCSX2 screen full size.

Press “X” (Cross) button to boot and emulate PS2 ISO Game.
Step 20 – Check Your Added New Cheat Codes on Code Breaker Successfully working or not.
